Transmission Gears:

Selecting material for Steel Transmission Gears, there are three factors that are most important, viz. Strength, durability and cost (material and manufacturing cost). We are selecting material with keeping in mind to fulfill the requirement of parameters. Gears can be made all sort of materials, including many types of steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, cast Iron, Ductile Iron, powdered material and Plastics. Alloy steel gears are most desirable because it offers a winning combination of high strength to weight ratio, high resistance to wear, the ability to enhance the physical properties through heat treatment.
